His strength, my admiration

If there is something that still impresses me today and for which I process a total admiration is the strength of Tanzanian children.

I know they are made because that’s what they have always lived but it never ceases to impress me.

And here is my list:

1. Her joy and affection, always with a smile whatever they have to do.
2. They can walk a lot of miles to go to school, but it’s not a problem for them.
3. To point 2 we add that many times they have to carry the water because there is no water at their school.
4. As they take care of the little ones, in a family when there are several children the older ones take care of the little ones.
5. As they work, when they have to go to the garden or collaborate at home, they do it in an incredible way. They even work harder than the older ones 😉
6. From a very young age they know how to wash their clothes, clean, cook…
7. The respect they have for their elders.
8. Their great ease to share, when many times they are the ones who have the least.
9. They are very helpful, always ready to help.
10. Their desire to learn, they love school and learning new things. I have already taken a few Spanish classes behind my back.

I have no words to define how wonderful they are but we should never forget that because they are CHILDREN, like everyone and all the children in the world are great.
